The Fairfield Central Griffins volleyball squad (Winnsboro, SC), was defeated 3-0 in Wednesday's league challenge with the visiting Mid-Carolina Rebels (Prosperity, SC)

The Rebels (12-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Columbia (Columbia, SC). The Capitals enter the AA Region 3 challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Columbia was beaten by Keenan (Columbia, SC), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Griffins meet the Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC) in a AA Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, September 11. Fairfield Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Cyclones enter the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Riverwalk Academy (Rock Hill, SC).
