In Sunday's non-league challenge, the Eagle Point Eagles (Eagle Point, OR) football team prevailed the host Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR), by a score of 54-33.
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Churchill (Eugene, OR). The Lancers come into the 5A Special District 2 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Churchill was beaten by Mountain View (Bend, OR), 16-6, in a non-league challenge.
The Grizzlies now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Henley for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 16. Ashland will meet a Hornets team coming off a 35-0 non-league win over Crater (Central Point, OR). The Hornets record now stands at 2-0.
