Middlesboro Yellowjackets (Middlesboro, KY) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Barbourville Tigers (Barbourville, KY), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Yellowjackets face the Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY) in a District 50 challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Middlesboro will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Black Bears enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Buckhorn (Buckhorn, KY).

The Tigers now have a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Whitley County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 19.
