The Deerfield-Windsor Knights softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Dougherty Trojans to 0 in the Knights non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Deerfield-Windsor moves its record to 6-5 on the year. The Knights travel to Brookwood (Thomasville, GA) to clash with the Warriors in a GIAA 3AAA game on Tuesday, September 12. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 1-5. Brookwood lost 9-8 in their recent league test against Valwood (Valdosta, GA)

The Trojans (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Columbus (Columbus, GA). The Blue Devils come into the 3A Region 1 test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Columbus overcame Thomasville (Thomasville, GA), 16-0, in a league test.
