The Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) volleyball overcame the visiting South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC), 3-0 in Monday's non-league outing.

With the win, Ayden - Grifton upgrades its record to 8-0 on the year. The Chargers host SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC) to face the Cougars in a Eastern Plains 2A outing on Tuesday, September 12. The Cougars go into the outing with a record of 2-5. SouthWest Edgecombe lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against North Pitt (Bethel, NC)

The Falcons now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Havelock for a Big East 3A/4A outing on Tuesday, September 12. South Central will face a Rams squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Rams record now stands at 0-9.
