The Bassett Bengals volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Staunton River Golden Eagles to 1 in the Bengals non-league victory on Monday.

The Bengals now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Martinsville for a Piedmont game on Tuesday, September 12. Bassett will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-4.

The Golden Eagles (2-6) will now prepare for their game against Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA). The Celtics enter the non-league game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, Roanoke Catholic was dropped by North Cross (Roanoke, VA), 3-2, in a league game.
