North Carolina High School Volleyball - Butler over Charlotte Catholic

The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) and the visiting Charlotte Catholic Cougars (Charlotte, NC), saw Butler's volleyball squad beat Charlotte Catholic by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Butler upgrades its record to 11-1 on the year. The Bulldogs host North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Monday, September 18. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 7-4.

The Cougars now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Independence for a Southwestern 4A bout on Tuesday, September 12. Charlotte Catholic will play a Patriots squad coming off a 3-1 league win over East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 5-3.
