The Hoover Cardinals topped the visiting Chula Vista Spartans volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Monday's non-league test.

The Cardinals now have a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 12. Hoover will confront a Hornets team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA). The Hornets record now stands at 12-4.

The Spartans (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA). The Mariners enter the non-league test with a 3-9 record. In their last test, Mar Vista was knocked off by Calexico (Calexico, CA), 3-1, in a non-league test.
