The Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) volleyball overcame the visiting Clinton County Bulldogs (Albany, KY), 3-0 in Monday's non-league outing.

With the win, Wayne County upgrades its record to 6-9 on the year. The Cardinals host McCreary Central (Stearns, KY) to play the Raiders in a District 48 outing on Tuesday, September 12. The Raiders go into the outing with a record of 2-10.

The Bulldogs now own a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Allen County-Scottsville for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 12. Clinton County will play a Patriots squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Franklin-Simpson (Franklin, KY). The Patriots record now stands at 11-8.
