In Monday's non-league battle, the host Knox Central Panthers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Harlan Green Dragons.

The Panthers (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Pineville (Pineville, KY). The Mountain Lions come into the District 51 battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, Pineville lost by Harlan County (Harlan, KY), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Green Dragons encounter the Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY) in a District 52 battle, on Tuesday, September 12. Harlan will attempt to advance on its 1-11 season record. The Bobcats come into the battle with a 15-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Tallulah Falls (Tallulah Falls, GA).
