In Monday's league contest, the Niles West Wolves (Skokie, IL) volleyball squad defeated the visiting Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), by a count of 2-0.

The Wolves (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Niles North (Skokie, IL). The Vikings come into the Central Suburban challenge with a 9-10 record. In their last challenge, Niles North defeated Highland Park (Highland Park, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars encounter the Maine West Warriors (Des Plaines, IL) in a Central Suburban challenge, on Wednesday, September 13. Vernon Hills will attempt to move on its 4-12 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 2-0 league win over Maine East (Park Ridge, IL).
