California High School Flag Football - Bernstein can't hold off Maywood Academy

Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their flag football team tip the host Bernstein Dragons (Hollywood, CA), 12-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Maywood Academy improves its record to 6-3 on the season. The Nighthawks host Roybal (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Titans in a Central battle on Thursday, September 12. The Titans go into the battle with a record of 0-4. Roybal lost 20-0 in their recent non-league battle against Mendez (Los Angeles, CA)

The Dragons now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sotomayor for a Central battle on Thursday, September 12. Bernstein will play a Wolves team coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Bellflower (Bellflower, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 0-8.
