The Piute Thunderbirds topped the host Escalante Moquis volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Wednesday's league game.

Next up, the Thunderbirds face the Monticello Buckaroo (Monticello, UT) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 13. Piute will attempt to advance on its 3-7 season record. The Buckaroo go into the game with a 4-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Green River (Green River, UT).

The Moquis (2-8) will now prepare for their game against Valley (Orderville, UT). The Buffalos go into the 1A Region 20 game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Valley went down by Panguitch (Panguitch, UT), 3-0, in a league game.
