In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Apex Friendship Patriots volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Willow Spring Storm.
The Patriots (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Panther Creek (Cary, NC). The Catamounts come into the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Panther Creek lost by Apex (Apex, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Storm now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jordan for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. Willow Spring will face a Falcons squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Green Level (Cary, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 1-4.
