In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Providence Academy Lions soccer squad scored a tight 3-0 triumph over the St. Paul Academy-Summit Spartans.

With the triumph, Providence Academy advances its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN) to clash with the Fire in a Class A Section 6 test on Saturday, September 13. The Fire come into the test with a record of 1-5. Holy Family Catholic lost 1-0 in their recent league test against Watertown-Mayer (Watertown, MN)

The Spartans now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lourdes for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. St. Paul Academy-Summit will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 5-0 league win over Lake City (Lake City, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 6-0.
