The Providence Panthers held off the host East Mecklenburg Eagles soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Panthers now hold a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palisades for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 16. Providence will face a Pumas team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 4-3.
The Eagles (7-2) will now prepare for their game against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights enter the game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Ardrey Kell held off Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 9-0, in a non-league game.
