The Titans now possess a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mitchell for a non-league bout on Monday, September 15. McDowell will clash with a Mountaineers team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Alexander Central drops to 3-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Watauga (Boone, NC) to clash with the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 16. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 11-0. Watauga won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)
