In Thursday's league challenge, the host John Paul II Catholic Saints volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots.

The Saints (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Epiphany (New Bern, NC). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Epiphany was nudged by Harrells Christian Academy (Harrells, NC), 2-0, in a league test.

The Patriots now sport a 0-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wayne Country Day for a challenge on Monday, September 15. Arendell Parrott Academy will play a Chargers team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Harrells Christian Academy (Harrells, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 0-4.
