In Thursday's league challenge, the host Carmichaels Mighty Mikes volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Mapletown Maples.

The Mighty Mikes (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mapletown (Greensboro, PA). The Maples come into the challenge with a 1-3 record.

Next, the Maples meet the Bentworth Bearcats (Bentleyville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 15. Mapletown will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Bearcats go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 league loss to Waynesburg Central (Waynesburg, PA).
