East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Gators (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, East Bladen beat Union (Rose Hill, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 0-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. Hobbton will face a Spartans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 1-10.
