The Northwestern Regional Highlanders prevailed the visiting Nonnewaug Chiefs volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Highlanders now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Nonnewaug for a bout on Thursday, October 9.

With the loss, Nonnewaug drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Gilbert (Winsted, CT) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a match on Tuesday, September 16. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a record of 0-0.
