Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs (Roseburg, OR) and the visiting Bandon/Pacific Tigers (Bandon, OR), saw Umpqua Valley Christian's soccer squad hold off Bandon/Pacific by a count of 1-0.

The Monarchs (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR). The Bulldogs enter the 3A/2A/1A-SD4 Special District 4 battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Sutherlin tipped Gold Beach (Gold Beach, OR), 6-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Tigers battle the South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) in a 3A/2A/1A-SD4 Special District 4 battle, on Tuesday, September 16. Bandon/Pacific will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Lancers enter the battle with a 2-0 record after their 6-0 league win over Coquille/Myrtle Point (Coquille, OR).
