Central Catholic Vikings (Pittsburgh, PA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA), 3-0 in a non-league outing.
The Vikings (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Gateway (Monroeville, PA). The Gators go into the non-league outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, Gateway by Norwin (North Huntingdon, PA), 8-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Spartans confront the Plum Mustangs (Pittsburgh, PA) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 16. Hempfield Area will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record.
