The Letcher County Central Cougars (Whitesburg, KY) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Knott County Central Patriots (Hindman, KY), 9-1 in Thursday's league battle.
The Cougars (9-4) will now prepare for their match against Pikeville (Pikeville, KY). The Panthers come into the non-league match with a 5-3 record.
The Patriots now sport a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wolfe County for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 13. Knott County Central will battle a Wolves squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Morgan County (West Liberty, KY). The Wolves record now stands at 6-6.
