With the triumph, Roanoke Rapids advances its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Wake Prep Academy (Wake Forest, NC) to clash with the Guardians in a Quad County 2A/3A/4A test on Monday, September 22. The Guardians come into the test with a record of 4-3.

The Vikings now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Durham School of the Arts for a Big Seven 4A/5A bout on Monday, September 15. South Granville will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Excelsior Classical Academy (Durham, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-7.
