Georgia High School Softball - Walton bounces Cherokee

In Thursday's league match, the host Walton Raiders softball team scored a tight 5-1 win over the Cherokee Warriors.
The Raiders (11-5) will now prepare for their match against Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA). The Lions enter the non-league game with a 13-1 record. In their last game, Hebron Christian edged Hart County (Hartwell, GA), 9-1, in a league game.
The Warriors now own a 13-6 record. They play next when they travel to North Cobb for a 6A Region 5 game on Tuesday, September 16. Cherokee will play a Warriors squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Etowah (Woodstock, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 15-2.
