Georgia High School Softball - Dougherty drops to Westover

September 11, 2025: Albany, GA 31707

The Dougherty Trojans softball squad (Albany, GA), was routed 17-8 in Thursday's league contest with the host Westover Patriots (Albany, GA)

With the triumph, Westover improves its record to 6-11 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Monroe (Albany, GA) to battle the Golden Tornadoes in a 3A Region 1 bout on Tuesday, September 16. The Golden Tornadoes go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Monroe won 12-6 in their recent non-league bout against Calhoun County (Edison, GA)

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Turner County Titans (Ashburn, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, September 15. Dougherty will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Titans enter the game with a 2-12 record after their 32-2 league loss to Clinch County (Homerville, GA).
