The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets routed the visiting Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane softball team by a margin of 11-3 in Thursday's league battle.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brantley County for a 1A D-I Region 1 battle on Tuesday, September 16. Jeff Davis will confront a Herons team coming off a 11-2 league win over Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Herons record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Fitzgerald moves to 2-17 on the season. The Purple hurricane host Crisp Academy (Cordele, GA) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 15. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Crisp Academy lost 13-2 in their recent league challenge against Southland Academy (Americus, GA)
