Spectators at Thursday's league contest between the Liberty County Panthers (Hinesville, GA) and the visiting Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), saw Liberty County's softball squad topple Islands by a score of 14-1.

With the triumph, Liberty County improves its record to 10-9 on the year. The Panthers travel to McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league contest on Monday, September 15. The Buccaneers enter the contest with a record of 8-14. McIntosh County Academy won 5-1 in their recent league contest against Jenkins County (Millen, GA)

In their next game, the Sharks battle the Savannah Christian Raiders (Savannah, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, September 15. Islands will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 7-3 league loss to Toombs County (Lyons, GA).
