In Thursday's league match, the visiting Jasper County Hurricanes softball team scored a nice 19-2 victory over the Putnam County War Eagles.

The Hurricanes (7-8) will now prepare for their match against Towers (Decatur, GA). The Titans go into the 1A D-I Region 4 game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Towers was routed by McNair (Atlanta, GA), 21-6, in a league match.

In their next game, the War Eagles battle the Social Circle Redskins (Social Circle, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 4 match, on Tuesday, September 16. Putnam County will attempt to better on its 0-9 season record. The Redskins come into the match with a 15-3 record after their 6-3 league win over Lamar County (Barnesville, GA).
