The Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA) softball routed the visiting Perry Panthers (Perry, GA), 12-6 in Thursday's league test.
Next, the Yellow Jackets meet the Ware County Gators (Waycross, GA) in a 4A Region 1 test, on Tuesday, September 16. Wayne County will attempt to advance on its 12-5 season record.
The Panthers (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Jones County (Gray, GA). The Greyhounds go into the non-league test with a 14-2 record. In their last test, Jones County held off Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA), 10-2, in a league outing.
