In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Academe of the Oaks Firebirds volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Howard Hawks.
The Firebirds (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Valor Christian (Alpharetta, GA). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, Valor Christian went down by Fideles Christian (Cumming, GA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fulton Science Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. Howard will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to The King's Academy (Woodstock, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-6.
