St. Joseph Catholic Eagles (Bryan, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Alpha Omega Academy Lions (Huntsville, TX), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Bremond (Bremond, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 16-7 record.

Next, the Lions meet the Aggieland HomeSchool Panthers (College Station, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 15. Alpha Omega Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Round Top-Carmine (Carmine, TX).
