The Wellsboro Hornets (Wellsboro, PA) volleyball knocked off the visiting Athens Wildcats (Athens, PA), 3-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Hornets now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Williamsport for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 13. Wellsboro will clash with a Millionaires team coming off a 3-0 league win over Hughesville (Hughesville, PA). The Millionaires record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Athens drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Abington Heights (Clarks Summit, PA) to clash with the Comets in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 13. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 6-0. Abington Heights won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Mountain View (Kingsley, PA)
