Illinois High School Volleyball - Aurora Central Catholic tips St. Edward

September 11, 2025: Elgin, IL 60123

The Aurora Central Catholic Chargers (Aurora, IL) volleyball held off the host St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Chargers now possess a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Westmont for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20.

With the loss, St. Edward drops to 4-7 on the campaign. The Green wave host Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL) to clash with the Fightin' Irish in a Chicagoland Christian bout on Tuesday, September 16. The Fightin' Irish come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Bishop McNamara lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL)

Really great game. We played well but just had a few more mistakes. Very strong team. Had a delay of game when they were out of serve rotation and changed our winning momentum
