Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Blount Leopards (Eight Mile, AL) and the visiting Rain Red Raiders (Mobile, AL), observed Blount's volleyball team hold off Rain by a count of 3-2.

The Leopards (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Murphy (Mobile, AL). The Panthers go into the 6A Area 1 battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Murphy was edged by Saraland (Saraland, AL), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Red Raiders now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chickasaw for a non-league battle on Monday, September 15. Rain will encounter a Chieftains squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Clarke County (Grove Hill, AL). The Chieftains record now stands at 4-1.
