Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) and the visiting Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles (Huntersville, NC), observed Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's volleyball team top Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy by a count of 3-0.

The Gryphons (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats go into the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Sugar Creek Charter was defeated by Carolina International (Concord, NC), 3-2, in a league battle.

The Eagles now own a 0-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Queen's Grant for a non-league battle on Monday, September 15. Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy will encounter a Stallions squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 3-9.
