Lithia Springs Lions (Lithia Springs, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Coretta Scott King YWLA Soaring Eagle (Atlanta, GA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions (8-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA). The Mustangs come into the 5A Area 5 challenge with a 7-21 record. In their last challenge, Kennesaw Mountain lost by Fellowship Christian (Roswell, GA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Soaring Eagle play the Hapeville Charter Hornets (Atlanta, GA) in a 2A Area 5 challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Coretta Scott King YWLA will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record.
