With the win, Morton improves its record to 10-5 on the season. The Panthers host Mendenhall (Mendenhall, MS) to encounter the Tigers in a Class 4A Region 6 battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 5-7.

The Bearcats now own a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leake County for a non-league test on Monday, September 15. Forest will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to McAdams (McAdams, MS). The Gators record now stands at 0-1.
