Gateway Panthers (Kissimmee, FL) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Poinciana Christian Preparatory Eagles (Kissimmee, FL), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against East Ridge (Clermont, FL). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, East Ridge beat South Lake (Groveland, FL), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Neumann Celtics (Naples, FL) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 12. Poinciana Christian Preparatory will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Celtics go into the test with a 6-3 record after their 3-2 league loss to Community School of Naples (Naples, FL).
