North Carolina High School Volleyball - Lumberton bounced by Gray's Creek

The Lumberton Pirates volleyball team (Lumberton, NC), was knocked off 3-0 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC)

The Bears (10-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC). The Colts enter the Tri-County 6A/7A contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Cape Fear notched a victory over Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Pirates battle the Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 15. Lumberton will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Buccaneers go into the battle with a 3-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC).
