The Marian Mustangs (Bloomfield Hills, MI) volleyball held off the host Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils (Grosse Pointe, MI), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Mustangs now possess a 23-1 record. They play next when they travel to Romeo for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 11. Marian will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Utica Eisenhower (Shelby Township, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-5.
The Blue Devils (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bloomfield Hills (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Black Hawks go into the non-league battle with a 15-1 record. In their last battle, Bloomfield Hills tipped St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake, MI), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
