Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Pamlico County Hurricanes (Bayboro, NC) and the host Jones Trojans (Trenton, NC), saw Pamlico County's volleyball squad notch a victory over Jones by a score of 3-1.

With the win, Pamlico County improves its record to 6-7 on the season. The Hurricanes host Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC) to encounter the Panthers in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 5-6. Northside - Pinetown won 3-1 in their recent league battle against Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC)

The Trojans now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southside for a Coastal Plains 1A/2A battle on Tuesday, September 16. Jones will encounter a Seahawks squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to East Carteret (Beaufort, NC). The Seahawks record now stands at 5-6.
