The Middlesex Chargers volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Mathews Blue Devils to 0 in the Chargers league triumph on Thursday.

The Chargers now have a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lancaster for a non-league outing on Monday, September 15. Middlesex will play a Red Devils team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Rappahannock County (Washington, VA). The Red Devils record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Mathews drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to West Point (West Point, VA) to play the Pointers in a Tidewater outing on Tuesday, September 16. The Pointers come into the outing with a record of 3-2. West Point lost 3-0 in their recent league game against Middlesex (Saluda, VA)
