Fans at Thursday's league contest between the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) and the visiting West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC), saw R-S Central's volleyball squad notch a victory over West Caldwell by a score of 3-1.

With the win, R-S Central improves its record to 6-7 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Asheville (Asheville, NC) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 13. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 5-4. Asheville won 3-0 in their recent league battle against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC)

The Warriors now own a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hibriten for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A battle on Tuesday, September 16. West Caldwell will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 3-10.
