The Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) volleyball knocked off the visiting River Forest Ingots (Hobart, IN), 3-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Bearcats now possess a 11-3 record. They play next when they travel to South Bend Washington for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. Wheeler will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Elkhart (Elkhart, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 1-8.

The Ingots (1-11) will now prepare for their match against Bowman Academy (Gary, IN). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Bowman Academy was outscored by Marquette Catholic (Michigan City, IN), 3-0, in a non-league match.
