Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Triad Knights (Troy, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Senators (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Panthers come into the Central State Eight challenge with a 2-12 record.

Next, the Knights meet the Mascoutah Indians (Mascoutah, IL) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Triad will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Lafayette (Wildwood, MO).
