The West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) volleyball knocked off the visiting Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC), 3-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they host North Johnston for a non-league bout on Monday, September 15. West Johnston will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 league win over West Craven (Vanceboro, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 8-2.

The Eagles (2-9) will now prepare for their match against Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Vikings enter the Carolina Pines 6A match with a 12-1 record. In their last match, Union Pines notched a victory over Lee County (Sanford, NC), 3-0, in a league match.
