The Black Cats now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Oneida Baptist Institute for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 13. Prestonsburg will meet a Mountaineers squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY). The Mountaineers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Powell County drops to 2-7 on the season. The Pirates host Wolfe County (Campton, KY) to play the Wolves in a District 54 outing on Wednesday, September 14. The Wolves go into the outing with a record of 1-6. Wolfe County lost 4-1 in their recent non-league outing against Bath County (Owingsville, KY)
