The Hazelwood East Spartans softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Normandy Vikings to 1 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Hazelwood East improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Spartans travel to Gateway Academy (Chesterfield, MO) to clash with the Titans in a non-league game on Wednesday, September 14. The Titans come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Clayton Greyhounds (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 19. Normandy will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
